Chapter 82 Coming Cross An Acquaintance During Recruitment​

Autumn said angrily, “If I was not Mrs. Lu and didn’t know Sam, then I wouldn’t have been able to escape from Mr. Song that night, right?”

“I have something to talk to you about.” Sensing her seriousness, Charles nodded. He made her sit down beside him and asked, “What’s wrong?”


Autumn hesitated for a second and then continued, “Charles, you asked me to work here because you want me to help you. But after working here the whole day, I can’t do anything else for you. So after giving it a lot of thought, I have decided to resign. And I hope that you can agree with me.”


“Resign? But why?” Charles was shocked by her words. He thought that she came here to talk about Linda and he was even prepared to comfort her. “Can you tell me your reason? Are you not satisfied with your salary?”


“No. I have said this earlier also that I am not fit to work here.” Her work was simple, but things were more complicated than she expected. It was not easy to be his secretary at all.

“Ye, don’t you feel angry about her behavior?” Charles asked her.


“Of course I am angry.” Autumn nodded and then explained, “But I have taken everything into careful consideration. You will be very busy with your work. And since David is the only one who can help with your work, don’t fire Linda immediately. But you have to be very careful about her, because I am afraid that……”
